The Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University scientific journal "Volga Region Pedagogical Search" was founded in 2012.The pioneers of the journal were Doctor of Sciences in History Ivan A. Chukanov, Doctor of Sciences in History Leonid A. Shaipak, and Doctor of Sciences in History Rashid A. Mukhamedov.

On March 28, 2017, the first issue of the updated version of the journal was published. Changes affected the concept of the journal, its structure, policy, ethics, style, mission, editorial council, and editorial board.

From February 21, 2023, the journal has been included in the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications wherein the primary scientific findings of dissertations for the degrees of Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Science are published:

We publish research papers dealing with the influence of educational methods and technologies on the positive changes in society. The authors are also encouraged to submit publications on a wide range of subjects.

5.8.1. General Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy and Education;

5.8.4. Physical Culture and Professional Physical Training;

5.8.7. Methodology and Technology of Vocational Education;

5.9.1 Russian Literature and Literature of the Peoples of the Russian Federation;

5.9.8. Theoretical, Applied, and Comparative Linguistics.

Author guidelines: The article should comprise a minimum of 12 pages and a maximum of 20 pages of original text, including the abstract and references (Times New Roman font size 14 pt with 1.5 line spacing). The translation of the title, abstract, and keywords into English is carried out by the journal translator.
